Sustainability
To achieve sustainable growth, it is essential to respect each individual employee and foster an environment where diverse talent can thrive and contribute. We respect fundamental human rights and will strengthen our organizational capabilities through communication that transcends divisional, domestic, and international boundaries. In an open work environment, we aim to be a company that grows together with people in countries around the world by encouraging a sense of personal growth and self-actualization so that each individual can fully demonstrate their capabilities.
Refining individual qualities as a member of society pursuing an enhanced ability as a member of the organization, and expanding awareness and perception as a member of the global community, all Fujitec members achieve personal goals, sharpen leadership skills and develop a broader understanding of others, while ensuring the company's continued growth and success.
※ This Human Rights Policy has been formulated with the aim of improving it by incorporating opinions and suggestions from external experts on “business and human rights.”

In May 2025, to further promote respect for human rights, we established the Fujitec Human Rights Policy, in accordance with international standards and reflecting the expertise of external experts.
We are working to ensure that all officers and employees of Fujitec Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries are aware of and understand this policy.
At the same time, we are also promoting awareness among our supply chain and business partners, encouraging them to understand this policy and strive for the respect of human rights.
For employees, we conduct annual human rights and anti-harassment training as well as compliance training.
In fiscal year 2025, we worked to raise awareness of the Fujitec Human Rights Policy, and held department-specific training sessions on both human rights and compliance that incorporated discussions on practical considerations and risk countermeasures to enhance each and every employee’s level of awareness.
We also provided suppliers with an explanation of the Fujitec Human Rights Policy at the joint quality conference that we held in November 2025 for major business partners. The Sustainability Promotion Office directly shared the company’s perspective and called for a deeper understanding of what it means to respect human rights throughout the entire value chain.
We will continue to work together as one with our business partners to build a sustainable supply chain that respects human rights.
We respect the diverse range of values and life circumstances of each and every employee and are committed to fostering a corporate culture in which everyone can continue their careers with peace of mind.
To aid in achieving this, in 2025, we established the Treatment and Work Balance Supporting System and regulations on leaves of absence to accompany family members overseas
Under the Treatment and Work Balance Supporting System, employees requiring long-term treatment, such as for cancer, are permitted to take up to 36 months of leave. In addition, treatment support leave and a short-time work scheme are also now available. We have also assigned health and employee support coordinators, who have completed specialized training, to positions within the company where they can provide backup assistance in making flexible working arrangements tailored to each individual’s medical condition. In addition, we have established regulations on leaves of absence to accompany family members overseas (for up to five years), to enable employees to accompany a spouse assigned to an overseas post or studying abroad. This framework allows employees to successfully return to work instead of having to permanently abandon their careers in the event of a change in family circumstances.
Through these systems and programs, we are fostering an organizational culture in which we all mutually recognize and support each other’s diverse ways of living, regardless of illness or family circumstances.

As part of our efforts to raise the motivation of our employees, we grant qualification badges to maintenance field engineers in the division responsible for maintaining elevators and escalators according to their skill levels. Our maintenance field engineers are given three-star and five-star qualification badges if they are recognized as an inspection supervisor and a premium maintenance inspection supervisor, respectively, in light of our inspection supervisor qualification criteria.
Badge recipients can wear the badge on the chest part of their uniforms. We
introduced the qualification badge program to make maintenance work for elevators
and escalators rewarding. This is because such work is often considered mundane
because people take it for granted that elevators and escalators work
properly.
Going forward, we will remain committed to raising the motivation of our employees.

Fujitec has been recognized as a Certified Health & Productivity Outstanding Organization for three consecutive years and promotes health management through activities spearheaded by subcommittees.
One of these is the Childcare, Women, and Diversity Subcommittee, which held an open roundtable forum that anyone in the Company could join. The roundtable focused on creating a workplace where everyone can work comfortably and placed particular attention on women who are raising children while working.
At the forum, female employees with experience in maternity leave, childcare leave, and parenting shared their stories about balancing work with household and childcare responsibilities.
Fujitec’s HR representatives also provided explanations on how to make use of relevant HR systems.
The roundtable was held in a hybrid format, combining an in-person venue at our Big Wing headquarters in Shiga Prefecture with online participation.

In October 2024, we, Fujitec, completely renewed our uniforms with the aim of accommodating the increasing diversity of values among employees and boosting motivation at work, and this process of unform transformation (UX) “of the employees, for the employees, by the employees” has won the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2025 (sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion.)
The new uniforms were designed under the concept of “gradation diversity,” and the lineup allows for gender-neutral combinations to better reflect each employee’s individuality.
By transitioning away from the previous model––in which designs differed by job type and gender—and moving toward a unified design across all job categories, we have enabled employees to express both individuality and a sense of cohesion.
Throughout the development process, we consulted with more than 600 employees across a wide range of job categories and age groups.
Based on feedback and other input from employees, we designed uniforms that remain fashionable while incorporating safety, functionality, durability, and comfort not only for office positions but also for the unique working environments surrounding the production, installation, and maintenance of elevators and escalators.
Since 1999, we have been holding the Global Field Engineering Skill Competition in-house as part of our efforts to develop human resources. For field engineers in Japan, we hold the National Installation/Renovation Technique Competition and the Field Engineering Skills Competition, with a focus on installation and maintenance. In October 2025, 26 field engineers selected from across Japan took part in the competitions, displaying their technical skills in elevator and escalator installation and renovation work.
In addition, for field engineers from both in Japan and overseas, we hold the Global Field Engineering Skill Competition, in which multiple companies come together to compete in skill.
By continuing to host these events, we will further bolster our technical capabilities while also fostering deeper communication and interaction among personnel.

In Japan, we offer the selective global business leader (GBL) training program, designed to cultivate next-generation core talent, as one of our purpose-specific training programs for all employees.
In addition to imparting knowledge, the program is also designed to open-minded human resources able to forge new paths anywhere in the world and to engage and lead those around them.
Over the course of the approximately nine-month program, participants acquire a variety of business skills essential in overseas operations, including language proficiency, a global mindset, and approaches to problem-solving. Participants also acquire a broad range of practical knowledge through activities such as listening to firsthand accounts of operations from employees with overseas work experience and studying tax and accounting procedures.
Through these educational programs, we cultivate human resources able to act energetically and autonomously with a global perspective.
Many of the participants have been appointed to positions at overseas locations following completion of the program.

Fujitec India's Fujitec Japan–India Institute for Manufacturing (Fujitec JIM), opened in November 2023, in Tamil Nadu, Chennai, has been certified by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) as a "Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing."
The "Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing" program is a certification and support initiative aimed at recognizing human resource development bodies established by Japanese companies operating in India. The curriculum of such schools is designed to help students acquire Japanesestyle manufacturing concepts and skills.
Fujitec JIM will provide classroom and on-site practical training in elevator production, installation, maintenance, and quality control. After about one year of training, the first cohort of students will be assigned as full-time employees of Fujitec India.
We are developing and updating the project content of the "Fujitec Bright" on the official Fujitec Instagram account, which introduces Fujitec's female employees who are performing work very actively.
