Glion Arena Kobe is a multi-purpose arena to accommodate ten thousand persons as one of the largest arenas in the Kansai Area of Japan. This arena is located near the ferry terminal of Kobe Sannomiya and a twenty (20)-minute walk from the JR (Japan Railways) Sannomiya station.
A professional basketball team of B. League, Kobe Storks, uses it as their base basketball court. Also, it is utilized for live events such as a musical concert, etc.
Fujitec has installed a total of fifteen (15) units including seven (7) elevators and eight (8) escalators. Considering one of the arenas’ features that lots of visitors intensively use the escalators during a certain short period, Fujitec adopted a heavy-load supportive specification for the escalators. They have a strength as twice as the standard escalators to support the heavy load.
In addition, being matched to the stylish atmosphere of the arena facilities, each elevator has a unified design that narrow hairlines are applied on their stainless-steel surface.
