Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street

Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street is a boutique hotel adjacent to Glover Garden, one of Nagasaki’s famous tourist spots. The refurbished interior of the 126-year-old Western-style building has a lavishly exotic atmosphere blending the cultures of Japan, China and the Netherlands.

In this building, Fujitec installed four (4) elevators. The elevators to guest rooms feature graphic designs inspired by Philipp Franz Balthasar von Siebold and Madam Butterfly, two (2) historical figures remembered in connection with Nagasaki. The combination of selected materials, such as custom-made interior sheets, wooden floor cover strips and colored stainless steel, together with the elevators’ carefully picked lighting designs, give them an appearance that matches well with the Western-style building’s atmosphere.
