2025.03.06 The Opening of a Discussion Meeting with the Participation of Female Employees with the Experiences of Maternity Leave, Childcare Leave, and Child-Raising

Fujitec with a certification given by Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization 2024 has been promoting a good health management by making the three subcommittees of Health Management Promotion Committee: the subcommittee of Child-Raising, Females, and Diversity, that of Lifestyle Modification, and that of Health Management System take mutual initiatives and active roles as the core functional subcommittee group.

The subcommittee of Child-Raising, Females, and Diversity is implementing active roles to embody the provisions stated in the Fujitec’s Health Declaration (https://www.fujitec.com/sustainability/safe_and_reliability/health_management) from the perspective of parenting, female nature, and diverseness.

On January 22, 2025, the subcommittee of Child-Raising, Females, and Diversity held an in-house event called LET’S JOIN! THE-DANKAI (Japanese-pronounced ZADANKAI, which means Discussion Meeting) to allow the participating females to ask superior mamas about unknown and unexperienced things. In the event, superior mamas who have experienced maternity leaves, child-raising, and diverseness took lectures.

By adopting direct dialogue methods among the lecturing superior females and participating females and by proceeding with the real and on-line simultaneous dialogues among them, their easily exchanged questions and their positively questioning stances eager to know various participants’ life stages were placed and handled on the top prioritized purpose.

The event was held at the Fujitec’s headquarters, Big Wing. The discussion issues were composed of three main categories such as pregnancy, child-care leaves, and the theme of back-to-work and way-of-working. The persons in charge of human resources system and regulations in the personnel department as well as the experiencers of maternity leave, child-care leave, and child raising responded to both the questions gathered previously by the in-house request and those asked by participants throughout the on-going event.

At the end of the event, female participants said their impressions and opinions, “I will experience maternity leave soon. Through this event, now I can have concrete images for my carrier plans and return-to work in the future,” “I would like to hear about the same themes from the persons who work in other types of work,” and “I could get very valuable information from this event, because I am really worrying about the same issues now.”

Also, male participants said, “I had a good chance to know the real thoughts possessed by the females who have to perform the roles of work and child-raising simultaneously and parallel,” and “I would like to know the child-care leave for males.”
