In 2024, Fujitec has signed a sponsorship deal with a non-profit organization, WheeLog, which aims at the world where wheelchair users can make their dreams true, and which realizes the society where various people understand each other mutually.

On Dec. 7, 2024, a NPO, WheeLog and Fujitec’s Technology Research Department which conducts technological researches on elevators held the on-line discussion meeting called “The Wheelchair Users X Fujitec Staff's Discussion in 2024.”

This online discussion was held as part of the research of universal designs. On the discussion day, the wheelchair users that WheeLog called on, WheeLog’s representative director, Mr. Oda, and Fujitec’s technology research engineers participated in the on-line discussion and exchanged their various opinions for about two hours.

The discussion held the themes of the use of mirror, the position of buttons, the method of using a door-open holding button, and other issues. Various participants such as the person that experiences the use of a wheelchair for three (3) years to those that do it over thirty (30 ) years, the persons suffering from different physical conditions mentioned many kinds of opinions and ideas throughout a very wide range of topics.

Fujitec continues to collaborate with WheeLog like before and promote the mutual understandings by various people to create the regions and societies where all of them can live and enjoy their lives respecting each other.
