Fujitec Endorses the “White Logistics” Promotion Campaign and Submits Its Voluntary Action Declaration

Fujitec Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture, Japan; President and CEO: Yuji Ichimura) has submitted a declaration of voluntary action in support of the “White Logistics” Promotion Campaign led by the Ministries of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism; Economy, Trade and Industry; and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

The “White Logistics” Promotion Campaign (the “Campaign”) is a government-led initiative aimed at securing logistic stability—essential for citizens’ daily lives and industrial activities—and contributing to economic growth. Through public-private collaboration, it seeks to enhance truck transportation efficiency and foster a more supportive work environment for female and older drivers.

The Japanese logistics industry is now at a major turning point amid worsening shortages of truck drivers and changes in the labor environment. To ensure that we consistently provide safe and reliable space mobility for customers through our elevators and escalators, establishing a sustainable logistics framework is the most critical issue.

In addition, as the Revised Act on Advancement of Integration and Streamlining of Distribution Business came into force, the Company is designated as a specified consignor* under the Act from this fiscal year, bearing even heavier social responsibilities. We regard joining this initiative not merely as a matter of legal compliance or an operational streamlining effort but as a key measure for realizing a sustainable society. We will further advance logistic innovation as a responsible consignor, while pursuing harmonious coexistence and co-prosperity with our valued customers and partner companies.

■Our Main Initiatives in the Voluntary Action Declaration Under the Campaign

Through initiatives including reduction of energy consumption and logistics optimization through DX introduction, we will further continue “efforts to reduce environmental impact,” one of the themes of our materiality (key issues).
