Fujitec Formulates Its Procurement Policy
Fujitec Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture, Japan; President and CEO: Yuji Ichimura) formulated the Fujitec Procurement Policy on June 30, 2026.
We promote sustainability activities under the six themes of materiality (*1) set out as follows: “Pursuing safety and reliability,” “Encourage diverse human resources,” “Improve technology and product capabilities,” “Efforts to reduce environmental impact,” “Coexist with society and local communities,” and “Build a management infrastructure to support corporate value.”
We have formulated this Procurement Policy to realize the future we aim to achieve by addressing our materiality themes across our entire supply chain and to clarify the guiding principles that we expect our valued suppliers and their upstream business partners (*2) to observe. Specifically, this Policy sets forth a code of conduct primarily concerning human rights, the environment, safety, ethics, and information security that both we and our valued suppliers are expected to uphold when procuring raw materials, goods, and services in “All Fujitec” business operations.
By implementing this Procurement Policy, we will further strengthen “safety and reliability,” further advance our efforts in addressing human rights and labor issues while promoting environmental initiatives, and build a robust supply chain capable of maintaining product and service delivery to customers even in times of crisis; through which we aim to realize a sustainable society as a company manufacturing elevators and escalators that sustain social infrastructure.
We will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable future through deeper collaboration and shared growth with our valued suppliers.
*1: Materiality: Key issues to be addressed on a priority basis in corporate management
*2: Upstream business partners: Providers of products and raw materials to our valued suppliers and higher-tier prime contractors
