Fujitec Co., Ltd. hereby announces that Fujitec India Private Ltd. (“Fujitec India”), a Fujitec Group company, has shipped a total of 10,000 elevator units since its elevator manufacturing base Big Rise started operation in the suburbs of Chennai in 2011.
Fujitec India held a ceremony to commemorate the shipment of the 10,000th elevator on the factory premises on November 8. Fujitec India Managing Director Shakir Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director Naoki Nakachika, and roughly 400 employees were in attendance at the ceremony.

Fujitec India has achieved phenomenal growth over the past few years in shipments for the domestic market as well as exporting to global companies. Fujitec India has gone through different phases of growth over the past 20 years. Going forward, through the mid-term management plan “Move On 5”, the company plans to propel itself as one of the leading companies providing quality and sustainable products in India as well as a leading exporter of Make in India* elevators to the global market.

■About Fujitec India

Fujitec Co., Ltd. established Fujitec India in 2004, followed by the opening of an elevator manufacturing base in the suburbs of Chennai in 2011 as its first manufacturing location in India. Elevators are manufactured here for the domestic market and for Group companies in Southeast Asia.
Fujitec India has been significantly increasing its sales volume by strengthening sales bases within India and through favorable sales in India of the REXIA-S standard elevator model developed in 2021 for use in medium- to low-rise housing.
A second plant of Big Rise, which was constructed on site, became fully operational in February 2023 and currently has a production capacity of 3,000 units annually to respond to sales expansion.
In 2022, Fujitec Express Ltd. (“Fujitec Express”) in Gujarat, northwestern India, joined the Group. The mid-term management plan “Move On 5” aims to increase Fujitec’s presence and further expand business in the Indian market through a multi-brand strategy, with Fujitec India’s high-end tailored products and Fujitec Express’s mass-market products.
